Tom Mutryn
In his role as Executive Partner at Bluestone Investment Partners Mr. Mutryn serves in an advisory role to portfolio companies particularly in areas related to operational best practices and mergers & acquisitions.
Tom retired from CACI International in 2023 after serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for over 16 years. In that role, Tom was responsible for accounting, tax, internal audits, government compliance, financial planning and analysis, and treasury activities for this $6.5 billion government contractor. He was actively involved in investor relations, and during parts of this tenure, he led the company’s IT and facilities organization. Tom’s role also included key leadership support for CACI’s successful M&A strategy, having closed on over 30 transactions with a combined purchase consideration of over $4 billion. He brings significant capabilities in evaluating new opportunities, performing due diligence of acquisition candidates, and assessing how completed acquisitions meet the company’s strategic goals.
Tom previously worked as Chief Financial Officer for GTSI Corp., a publicly
traded value added reseller. Prior to GTSI, he worked for US Airways as CFO. He worked in various finance positions earlier in his career at United Airlines, including Treasurer, and at American Airlines. During his time with the airlines, he led the activities to finance well over $8 billion of new aircraft.
He is involved in a number of non-profit organizations, including being on the board or an advisor to Mike’s Place, The Ruddie Memorial Youth Foundation, Changing Perceptions, Arise & Flourish and The Foundation for Drug Policy Solutions.
Tom attended Cornell University, where he studied architecture and engineering, and, after a short career in engineering, earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell.
